Nashoba Tech junior off to Skills USA Nationals

WESTFORD — Nashoba Valley Technical High School will send a student to the SkillsUSA National Leadership and Skills Conference, June 25-29, in Louisville, Ky.

Jason Gendron, a junior from Dracut in the Engineering Academy, won a gold medal in Information Technology Services at the recent SkillsUSA State Competition, held at Blackstone Valley Technical High School. Gold-medalists at the state level automatically qualify for the National Conference.

Also at the State Competition, Jenna Thompson (senior, Littleton) earned a silver medal in Commercial Baking, while earning bronze medals were the teams of Ashley Conrad (senior, Pepperell) and Rachael Thompson (sophomore, Littleton) in Audio/Radio Production, and Rachel Cieslik (senior, Pepperell), Caitlin McMaster (junior, Chelmsford) and Adam Kubasti (junior, Chelmsford) in Career Pathways Showcase: Arts & Communication.

Students qualified for the State Competition by earning gold and silver medals at the District Competition in March.
